Meet Stephanie

Obsessed with my dogs.  Addicted to my Nespresso machine.  Will always choose the beach vacation.  In love with all shades of blue.  Believer in rosé all day.  Gets giddy with excitement when designing your wedding.

Here's my professional bio:

Stephanie R. Sadowski, CMP, is the founder and owner of SRS Events based in the Washington, DC metro area and has more than ten years of experience in the DC event-sector. Stephanie grew up in northern Maryland and graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Baltimore where she coordinated events for students. After graduation, she spent more than seven years on the corporate events side in Washington DC, obtaining the highly regarded certification of Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) during that time.  One day, she decided to pursue her dream of opening SRS Events! Since 2016, SRS Events has produced more than 100 weddings and has received numerous accolades, including being named a top planner by Virginia Living, having weddings featured in multiples magazines (no small feat!), and numerous online features, including on Style Me Pretty, Washingtonian Weddings, Carats and Cake and Martha Stewart Weddings. In addition, Stephanie has been approached by national brands, like Bravo TV and Crate and Barrel, to plan special events for them and has been interviewed numerous times by the local evening news, CNN, and The Washington Post.  Stephanie loves working with her brides and grooms to create their dream wedding day, and help alleviate the stress that comes along with wedding planning.  Her couples appreciate her calm personality, quick response time, attention to details, and passion for weddings! Some of Stephanie's favorite things:

Stephanie's favorite wedding moment: Waiting with the bride before she walks down the aisle, as well as revealing the reception space to the bride and groom before guests enter! It's so fun to see their happiness in seeing all of the planning come to life!

Meet Ellen

Ellen Head is a wedding planner with SRS Events, having been with the company for over six years. She is a born and raised Jersey girl and received her BA from the University of Notre Dame and her MS from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst.  Ellen has spent over 10 years running events in the sports, non-profit and wedding industries. Ellen has worked at a variety of venues throughout Washington DC and Virginia, including the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), Corcoran Gallery, Lansdowne Resort, Long View Gallery, and the Carnegie Institution for Science.  Her favorite venue is the beautiful National Museum of Women in the Arts.  Ellen's  organized, perfectionist, detail-oriented, and fun personality will keep your wedding running smoothly on the big day!

Some of Ellen's favorite things: Glitter, shopping, travel, reading, coconut milk lattes, frosting, hydrangeas, and spending as much time with her family as possible.

Ellen's favorite wedding moment: I love watching how the couples interact once all of the formal programming of the wedding is over.  You can really see their love for each other then when they are dancing, singing and having a blast together!

Meet Megan

Megan is a lead coordinator on wedding days at SRS Events and has been working in higher education and nonprofit events for more than five years. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Maryland with a degree in Art History. She is currently working on her master’s in design and communications. Megan loves history and some of her favorite venues are Tudor Place, DAR Constitution Hall, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts.

Megan's favorite part of the wedding day is when the dancing begins and couples are able to let loose and celebrate. She also loves when the couple sees the reception space for the first time.

When it’s not a wedding day, Megan loves running, baking sweet desserts, and thrift shopping.
